What is this blog about?
This blog is created in order to show the activities we are carrying out in the training course: "INNOVATIVE TEACHING PRACTICES SUPPORTED BY THE FOCUSED USE OF ICT TOOLS IN THE LANGUAGE CLASSROOM."

We have used Genially to work on an English-speaking country: Ireland . First of all we had a brainstorming about English-speaking countries and my pupils decided Ireland could be the best one to choose because it is not as well-known as other countries and they liked the photos we saw on the Internet. In groups of 2 or 3, they searched for information about Ireland. To begin with, they discussed about the topics they were interested in finding out. For example: Capital city. Most important cities. Map. Landscapes. Literature. Music.After making a draft they got on with it. The students watched several videos in order to decide which ones they wanted to have in their presentations. They looked for information about the main cities, such as: Dublin, Galway, Cork and Limerick. Likewise they found out about the most important writers and singers, so as some of their books or songs. Obviously, my students needed some guidance from both me and their parents. Excellent work!!! I love the kind of letter you have made use of and the way the information is organized, maybe what I would add is a warm colour such as pink or violet. Good work!!
ReplyDeleteLove the style, I believe minimalism is definitely a good way to organise things on a blog because it allows students to find things quickly. Colors are great and match the education theme. I can only see one aspect that may be implemented and it is that people can feel lost if they are looking for something specific. What I would recommend is to add a searching bar or put the labels on the right part of the screen.
