We have used Genially to work on an English-speaking country: Ireland . First of all we had a brainstorming about English-speaking countries and my pupils decided Ireland could be the best one to choose because it is not as well-known as other countries and they liked the photos we saw on the Internet. In groups of 2 or 3, they searched for information about Ireland. To begin with, they discussed about the topics they were interested in finding out. For example: Capital city. Most important cities. Map. Landscapes. Literature. Music.After making a draft they got on with it. The students watched several videos in order to decide which ones they wanted to have in their presentations. Reflect on Reading Habits

We can see different reading situations in varied formats. There are people reading in a library, a girl with an elder person, children at a school and someone reading outdoors. The first photo reminds me of a bookshop in Germany, where you could read whatever you felt like and nobody pressured you. It was a really pleasant moment. On the other hand, the second image brings me memories of my childhood, when my granny read books to me. It is extremely touching. In all the pictures people are reading paper books, but only in one case a person is using an e-book. Except for the photo of the school, we could say the others have chosen their own books. Taking into account the images, I think everybody is enjoying his/her reading. Children at school may not be so happy. Anyway they seem to be concentrated, which is rather positive.
